WTB: A T-bird or fox stang...

Long story short, I got shafted on the title to my current TC. Previous owner will not return my calls and I can't find him, it's like he disappeared... But anyways...

I'm looking for a Fox body t-bird or Mustang to swap my drivetrain into. If it's a Bird, I literally only need a body and title, if it's a stang, I need it to be bumper-bumper with interior and title.

Cheaper the better, of course I would take a complete car if the price is right. Needs to be within 200 miles of Benton, KY.
Currently Birdless but never Foxless

Check your state laws on vehicle titles, here in Kansas you can do a "quiet title" for less that $200 and is the route I must do on my 88 TC due yo the same seller issue. Try that first before you decide to strip it.

From what the county clerk has told me, I am SOL without the PO giving me the title.

I would do some research before you give up. That clerk is paid the same whether they deal with your headache or not.
...and there was light!

impound lots and junk yards do it every day. you call the sherrifs office and tell them you need to apply for a lost title. they'll check to see if the car is stolen. if it clears a back ground check and was abandoned or not registered for a certain time frame, they will issue a title for you. here its only about $50.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
