A F$%)ing wonderful start to Easter

I woke up to find my Imperial like this Saturday morning. Caught the kids on tape doing it. filed a police report and should have more information come Monday, Didn't get the Tbirds or the truck thankfully.

Tried like hell to break in (doesn't lock, morons), then tried like hell to steal the hood ornament & couldn't, so they settled for putting my porch chairs on it. Destroying the original paint, then used the wiper arm to scratch the perfect windshield, bent over the antenna, then Keyed the drivers side. Then after all that, took the time to urinate all over it.

I've been beside myself ever since, but I've got good upclose pictures of both there faces, the officers said the detective would get with me Monday. two estimates for just paint are over $2200 plus.

I'm a punk kid :P, only true cowards mess with a car at 5 AM, I don't even know who they are, but the officers said they got a call about an hour before about kids matching their description trying to bust into an empty house around the corner.

Man that sucks. Jerks.

On a side note this is why the valuable cars get parked in the garage. No matter how nice of a neighborhood you live in jackasses always find you.

That  me off.  Yeah, it could always be worse.  There's always something better, something worse, someone better, someone worse etc. but this is still an example of our country's growing list of pathetic issues.  Asshats.  Is your hood or roof dented or depressed from the weight of those chairs?  Some people probably blame you for keeping your car out like it's somehow our fault for owning property they don't agree with - like we are all supposed to hide ourselves and property in a basp00get because society is to cowardly to deal with these asshats.  "It's just a car" they say.  Oh really?  So how about I go into your f_cking wallet and start taking money from you and see how you like it because it's the same f_cking thing.  They may also say you should get reimbursed for fixing those spots or panels and have no comprehension of the lost value from no longer having original paint or having hues mismatched among panels.  I could go on and on but I'm not in an articulate mood right now.
"lol.. because not too many people care for that style of car"

My thoughts precisely. This is the textbook definition of something truly "irreplaceable". And then as a true OCD owner, where do you go from there? You end up feeling like it's better to just leave it as is, to avoid having panels that virtually cannot ever be the same again.

we always did pranks and some stupid  as kids, never in a million years would we cross the line and damage a car like that.  Kids are way different today, the disregard for others is just sad.  You did nothing wrong here, and its just pathetic that these bell ends are laughing somewhere over this.  If you need help sourcing any stuff just let me know.

All the above.

My work got broken into again. Scumbag thieves. That's why we all carry guns now when we're at work, in case these god freaks try to rob us during the day. People (not all of 'em, mainly the young, "entitled", and truly clueless, dumbass people that can't even form a sentence with mispr0nouncing a common word because they are ignorant make me absolutely sick.

It makes me all the more willing and ready to spend every second that I can teaching my kids patience, compassion, and willingness to ask questions so they can have a great life, instead of feeling barely adequate, and having to se and struggle.
I never had any encouragement as a kid when I did something right, or succeeded at something, but if I messed up (and that happened a lot) I had my ass in a sling.
It  me off when some of these dumbasses who come from wealth and successful familial units deliberately shag off and end up in prison when a lot of great kids never had or will have a chance because of situations they had no control over, or were forced into. In other words, common sense isn't any too common, or at least that I've noticed.

OP, I hope sincerely that you can get your car fixed, and may the sorry sons of bitches that did it end up in a cell as some nasty 's little bitch.

Sorry for the language...feeling pretty disgusted with the lesser elements of humanity right now. On our local news, there's a story about a driver of a car who was traveling down a 2 lane country blacktop at a very high rate of speed, who lost control, wrecked the car...and survived. Only to leave his passenger in really bad shape. Yes, the driver left the scene...the other "kid" is barely hanging on.

The other bad story is pretty sick: a father (and I use the word in a very loose intention here) shagually abused his FOUR month old daughter.

He needs to be rubbed briskly all over with 60 grit sandpaper, then suspended in a tank of rubbing alcohol. You know....to clean him up before he's fed alive to a tankful of piranha.

Thanks guys, It's pretty frustrating. Was it perfect? Hell no, but it was pretty much all original with the exception of the 440 and exhaust. Now its no longer a "survivor", a restoration was in the future, but way out there after the tbirds. I've played pranks on people often, but this is just god ridiculous & I can't even get the police to answer the phone.  hopefully we can get these little shiznits identified & I can start pressing charges and sueing. I fully intend on making everyone sure of exactly the damage they did by ruining its original status. I've got the parts sourced out at $600+ and we're looking at a $6,000 paint job befitting the quality of the car.

I'd love to have garage space, but i've had several cars of all ages and fanciness and never had a problem, these kids picked out my car. They walked passed a new Escalade and my Neighbors mint 42k mile S-10 Cameo to hit it.

You know even if i successfully sue and get a judgement, it's gonna take forever to actually get paid & quite frankly I'm not sure how i'm going to afford trying to insure, plate & maintain everything this month. The responsible thing to do would be to sell off my collection and just start saving, but I don't WANNA! lol

Sorry to see that happened to you. You just don't shag with a mans car, and when someone does they deserve whatever happens to them.

I wouldn't even involve the police personally, and would be out for blood right now. If they are under 18 then the police won't be able to do much to them anyway. Just a slap on the hand, and then sent back home to mommy. Good Luck.....

yes, but the parents are still financially on the hook for the kids until they turn 18.  I would want the money and the car fixed right, and then karma has a funny way of doing the rest.  Maybe im just getting older......
