Reply #17 – March 10, 2013, 05:00:34 AM My son's 87 Cougar has the side trim removed and I can definitely say the door panels are getting dinged up a lot more than they should. It seems no matter how far away I park there will always be someone who feels a need to park right next to me. I'm seriously considering putting the side trim back on, but have to check my budget after the 5 lug conversion and new dual exhaust. Quote Selected

I know what you mean though about how someone always wants to park next to a nice car in a parking lot, even when you park at the very back of a lot. People are the same way here, and I think some of them do it just to purposely open their beaters door into your nice freshly painted one, and cause a ding. Jealous/Bitter people usually like to shag up nice things that other people have, that they are highly jealous of, which is why they do it. If I ever catch them in the act though.... Quote Selected
