88 Thunderbird EVTM coming

It'll be a flash based flip book, the pages are flying through my scanner's feed tray at 300dpi even as I type this.  I'll want to only upload this once, so who has a good file host or ftp where I can plant this thing and link it? Any opinions on sharing it as a torrent?  I'd only make the .torrent available here on the forum.

I've discovered enough differences between 87 and 88 that I might do this again with the 87 book if this one turns out good.

UPDATE: Done

The torrent thing is a good idea, but I'll bet most here don't use a p2p client...

Photobucket has always treated me well, but not sure how "economical" it would be to upload an entire EVTM via their site..

Photobucket won't work, I won't be uping individual images. It should end up as a flash applet. And it's very likely to be large, as in 200MB to 500MB unless I reduce the resolution.

It's good that you have that evtm up, but I'm thinking bigger and more interactive.  Clickable links, book view, high resolution, you name it. Fully modernized and interactive.

Google Picasa is good too. It has a nice client and it has no problems with sending the entire directory to their server.

I think 150 dpi is more than good enough.

umm, yes i do,,

now consider scanning in the 3500 pages of shop manuals and dealing with their charateristic of being sorta translucent.

Right now I'm scouring the pics in Acrobat pro for things that send you to other pages, highlighting and setting them up as links. I think I know what you're getting at, but it's so far the most tedious part of the project. Once I finish this part I can recheck, and then finalize the pdf.  Once finalized, then I get to start converting to a flip book.  Right now the pdf stands at 462MB, but I think I'm going to scale the pages down to lower resolution before I'm done.

two thumbs up for you Foe~!!

i was going through the 87 evtm last night preparing for my 20th Relay mod for marker, hi beam, low beam and start when i found an error.  the evtm had me running in circles.  I still cant find fuse link M called out on the page with the start circuit.
see if yours has the same same issue as mine... fuse link M .  As in-- look for a text page that tells you its location.

good work man! cant wait

Adobe should be a good program to use and for many years to come, meaning it may have a pulse for a long time before the next and big thing comes along making it obsolete.

The sheer number of links is making my head spin, but I should be done linking tonight, tomorrow I'll make a second pass to find any I missed, and maybe by Friday I'll be finished.  I've only got 1Mb upward bandwidth, so I can't say when it'll be available on the web.

Surprise! I finished tonight!  Looks good except for the demo mode watermark in the middle of the ed thing.  I'm going to make it available anyway, if you've got a bittorrent client like utorrent, azureus, or bitcomet then you're all set.

Click the Magnet link

File size is 331MB, and I've got a 1Mb upward connection, so be patient. Once you're done, let it seed so the next guy can get it faster.

Thanks you. I'll seed this mother till my PC stops. In other words, forever.
Again, thanks. I have a physical paper copy, but I'll seed and hopefully help you and others along. :)
