Here's my 87 with 15x8's bfg drag radials 275/50/r15 with the stock 7.5 (I haven't driven the car with these wheels yet)
I want to try 235's cause the 275's look like they'll rub. I can try to get a closer picture. If you try the 235's let me know how they fit.

To me they look like 5.5 back spacing, do you have the fender wells rolled ?

Dude, Crash is in NJ... so I am sure that he has other things on his mind. As for your wheel and backspacing question, I'd suggest that you use a WheelRite, available from Summit Racing to answer the question for your particular car.

Good Luck!

Sorry for the late reply, those wheels have a 4.5" backspacing and I don't have the fenders rolled. Since putting on the bullit springs I haven't tried putting these wheels back on. I don't think they'll fit but I'll try tomorrow.

Back when I still drove my car on the street, I had 15x10" wheels with a 6.5" offset for the rear with a 295/60/15 and it didn't rub with Mustang GT rear springs. I still use the same rear wheel setup with the stock rear Mustang GT springs,(rear slicks) but the car is for Drag racing only now. I did massage the wheel lips some and had plenty of clearance.

Seems like I'll never get anything done. Here are pics of 235/60/r15 on 15x8 draglites with 4.5 bs. I rolled the fenders but I think I could have gotten away without it. Unfortunately I don't have pics without rolled fenders.

When I have the opportunity, time, money and hp to use it I would get 15x10s with 6.5bs and 275/50/r15. The tires are Mickey Thompson Sportsman STs. And If anybody notices the drip pan is for my leaking pinion seal :punchballs:XX

Your golden right now

5.5 is the best but I run fast 5 rims 4.5 because it gives the rim a extra 1" of lip and looks way better than a 5.5 I run a 235/60/15 and its perfect

Bit small for power but I think 255 will fit also

I have proper tire for racing but my suggestion for looks

Thanks. I like the extra lip also. The 235's give a "square" look I like the to wheel and tire combo. My 302 isn't worthy yet for bigger tires!
