GT40P heads May 31, 2012, 08:38:30 PM I'm selling the GT40P heads that I was running on my Thunderbird. The heads have about 6,000 miles on them. I removed the heads and replaced them with Edelbrock Performers. There is nothing wrong with them I just replaced them because I wanted to go faster .They have exhaust valves that have the same height for the valve locks as the intake valve so they don't have exhaust valve rotators. They are the stock GT40P exhaust valve size. The springs install at the same height on both valves so they don't need offset keepers or retainers if you use aftermarket springs. I'm asking $300 if you pick them up but it would probably be closer to $400 if you want them shipped as they are heavy. I do accept PayPal. Quote Selected
GT40P heads Reply #2 – May 31, 2012, 09:36:31 PM I may be interested, will have to see how much play money I have this month. I would need them shipped though, Chicago is an 11 hr drive and I would spend more on gas then shipping I think Quote Selected

GT40P heads Reply #9 – June 07, 2012, 01:55:13 PM I'll see your 3 bucks, raise ya 5, and call. Well, anyway, they'll work with a stock SO cam, and even an HO, but with pistons w/o the valve reliefs, I'd be wary of a cam with any higher lift than an HO cam. Quote Selected
GT40P heads Reply #10 – June 07, 2012, 03:17:24 PM When I checked with my engine builder he said no way. He said with the stock HO cam the intake valve in the GT40P heads would smack the pistons. I think Zonda tried with the GT40s, stock block, and a HO cam and he had to fly cut the pistons for clearance. You could clay your set up and see if they fit with your combo. Quote Selected
