headers May 08, 2012, 01:30:01 PM ive got a 351w in a 88 tbird and the headers that are on the car really dont fit i had to crimp them on the drivers side to get them to fit by the steering rod. does anyone know what a good set of headers to put in there would be.? Quote Selected

headers Reply #3 – May 09, 2012, 09:42:16 AM Is it the large round part of the steering rod thatshiznitting the collector part or the shaft itself. I put an aftermarket shaft in cause it rubbed on the bbk longtube with chucks motor mounts. Quote Selected

headers Reply #9 – May 10, 2012, 08:39:05 PM there stock 1970 351w heads and the headers are made from hedman but idk they where on the 5.0 when i bought the car. Quote Selected
headers Reply #10 – May 10, 2012, 09:12:39 PM thats why they hit, they are designed for a 302 and are bent to fit that combo. The added deck height of the 351w is screwing you up, You need to just put headers designed for a 351w on the car Quote Selected

headers Reply #12 – May 11, 2012, 08:54:58 AM My headers wrap around the steering column, you have to cut the and turn the pipe, put in and tighten down. That last pipe being kind of independent from the other 3 make it interesting when starting bolts.. Quote Selected
