finally got insurance and plates on the TC

well its been about a month since i bought it from the junkyard. its finally semi-road worthy.  hopefully will be a nice Daily driver and get some ok gas mileage. any idea what to expect around town?

what i've done so far:
5 spoke wheels, new tires ( since pic was taken)
new foglamp bulbs
NOS LH headlamp
timing belt, tensioner
one new read quad shock
lh side electronic strut
brake pedal MOD
manual turbo boost controller
new brakes all around
replaced radio bulb in stereo
new battery clamps
oil change, new axle fluid, friction modifier
what i still need to do:
fix the a/c
sway bar bushings
spark plugs
replace cruise control cable
maybe a speaker or two
i'm sure theres more!

If its an auto, I'm not sure you could hit 20's city, especialy not over a tank of gas. Best I ever had was high 19's, and that was in a 45 zone with little to no traffic. With a stick you might be able to.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

IMHO if you are not in the 20's in town there is still something wrong with your car. All of my TC's are in the 20's in the city and I dog the  out of them.

i bought the car from a junkyard, but i wouldnt say it was in the 'back' . it was a car that needed help that the owner wanted to s, and the junkyard bought it and parked it out front in the ' not ready for junkyard' lineup.
I have to fill it up for the first time tomorrow, we'll do a mileage test.

That is a beautiful bird. I hope it gives you as much joy as they give the rest of us. Is it your first fox? (mustangs don't count lol)

I wonder what my cougar would look like in that color....
