ColdAir-Intake Question on model differences

Now I've been looking on ebay for something better then my stock tube with a cone filter attached to the end sucking up all the hot hot air from the engine bay.

I have the 5.0l stock non-ho engine

Now on ebay models are listed
87-93 Models W/O mass-air
89-93 Models W/O mass-air

I've looked at pics and there doens't seem to be any difference?
Anyone know?

well, the pics arnt always of the items theyre selling

but the non-mass air intakes have tubes that are a little longer, so theres no space for the mass air flow meter, where as the mass air intakes have it set where one tube connects to the MAF inlet, and one connects to the outlet

Probably meant the dates specified (all NON mass air):
87-93
89-93
Something about one that would make it fit all years, the other only later (89+) years?

Im just confused about the fact that the one from 89-93 is just missing (87-88) wats the big difference?

Possibily those kits are just the tubing, with the MAF sensor missing? And the 87-93 is the complete housing with the MAF sensor replaced by more tubing to take its place.

Its rather odd when searching.

the "proper" cold airs, such as like Mac, BBK etc have longer tubing, so the MAF has no place basically, the ebay ones might have a tube to replace the MAF, i have no idea
