anyone ever ran 4 cylinder mustang front springs in a thunderbird? i had 5.0 mustang springs in my old 88 sport. they say fox stang springs make for a rough ride, but i had no complaints.

i am setting the car up for street/strip and it to transfer weight good, not to mention the drivers side front coil is SHOT on my car and i already have the stang coils

If you already have them and yours are shot, why not just go ahead and try them?

My guess is they are too soft....

they said that about the 5.0 stang springs too, but i could not tell any difference over stock. could have been going from stock coils and blown struts to stang coils and new struts that caused this, but IMO, it rode exactly like a fox body mustang, which would be expected.

BUT... looks like i am going to just put the same 5.0 springs in it that came out of my old bird because i'm keeping my mustang and will be needing those 4 banger springs in it

I have 5.0 fox springs now and yeah, they ride like IMO. At least compared to the stock springs. Its actually worse in the rear than the front. I have Moog springs in the rear now but have yet to drive it.

I've got some '97 Stang springs under mine, and it rides ok. Not too rough, but you can still feel the suspension working when bumps are met. The bonus: I lost about an inch or so of altitude :)

The front springs for a fox Stang aren't much different from a catbird. The REARS however.... Don't be surprised to see the rear start sagging within a couple of years.
