Went to the local Pick n pull today

well I went in looking for 2 14" tires and came out with 4 16" aluminum wheels with tires and my buddy got two wheels and tires, needless to say we weren't prepared to haul these out so we had to get creative.[/IMG]

You'd never make it at a tire shop...

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

When I snagged my Mark 7 wheels (w/tires) i used an axle shaft from a 3/4 ton truck I found nearby...stacked em with the axle through the hub hole, then used a ratchet strap to hold it all down to the wheelbarrow. I've also seen folks carry out sets of wheels and tires with a serp. belt passed through, and a guy on each end. lol

I can't believe you found a car in a yard that actually still had wheels or tires

I went to the local P&P yesterday and found only 3 fox bodies of any kind. 2 Mustangs and a Lincoln. I was looking for a drivers seat belt receiver and was suprised to find not much at all. I grabbed one out of a Mustang that works but, isn't exact. Slim pickin's these days.

yah alot of the older cars in the yards are getting crushed, not many parts left, only one 84 t-bird in that yard and a couple fox mustangs pretty much shells. finding parts for a 83 turbo coupe is pretty hard.
