My intake Idea.

Well I got board and decided to try my hand at intake modeling. And this is what I came up with.

Viper style. I dont think Chrysler will be happy with that one. Looks  nice tho. Although I kinda like Blackjacks. I has the style of that new BBK one but alittle better. Now all we need is a way to make them.

Ya thats the problem. The red one I have modeled could be made from steal tubing and sheet metal real eazy.

They look cool, but just out of curiousity....  How exactly are you plnning to make them bolt on.  Especially that red one, Which I am intrested in attempting to try and make one. LOL.  Would work great with a couple of turbos under the hood ;)

Just drill mounting holes in that lower , I'd imagine.

Nice to see some other CAD modelers out there. :D

i still think this whole evolution of the upper and lower intake is  :bs:

these guys keep it real simple, sweet and to the point. One intake and thats it.

That is just plain cool. I've always wanted to make a front-mount-throttle-body intake (similar to a TPI Chev) for a 5.0, but that 460 is just plain badass. I've also always wanted to make a dual front mounted throttle body, cross ram intake for a 3.8 and twin-turbo the sucker. Oh, the damage I could do if I had the resources...

I don't think that thing is going to last. The thickness of the aluminum just doesn't seem to be enough.

You have to look at it with dimentions on it. The opening for the throttle body is 80mm and each one of those runners are 50mm.
there is a 10mm to 15mm wall thickness through out both models.

Jack Roush did and beat ya to it.

I want that engine so bad.

Now that I think about it that red intake could easily be made. Hell if I had some tubing and some sheet metal I would probably be trying to make it.
