March 10, 2012, 09:45:46 PM OK, I have a guy wanting to buy my mint condition '85TurboCoupe, and we're about $500 apart in pricing.:mad:What I'm trying to find out is what the original mintcondition TC wheels/caps with approx. 10 year old GoodyearGatorbacks mounted on them would be worth?!The Gatorbacks are in very good condition, and haveabout 75% tread left.Any opinions would be appreciated.Heck, any actual offers would be GREATLY appreciated!!!:)Let me know. Thanks!Jeff Parker Quote Selected
Feeler: '85 TurboCoupe wheels (mint) w/GATORBACKS! Reply #1 – March 10, 2012, 10:45:50 PM Without seeing them, it's impossible to say. You're basically just pricing the wheels since the tires will need replaced given their age. Sure, someone could use them, but. . . . You wouldn't use a rubber past it's expiration date would you? No, actually, the tires will be worth as much or more than the wheels!Looking for someone who's showing their '85 or '86 TurboCoupe and theonly thing it needs is a mint condition set of factory original wheels ANDthe FACTORY CORRECT GOODYEAR GATORBACKS mounted on them. Feeler: '85 TurboCoupe wheels (mint) w/GATORBACKS! Reply #6 – March 11, 2012, 10:34:45 AM It's cool. I would never have a show car or use it for such, so the thought never crosses my mind about such a thing. Quote Selected
Feeler: '85 TurboCoupe wheels (mint) w/GATORBACKS! Reply #7 – March 11, 2012, 02:39:45 PM If the tires are 225/60-15s you might have some luck selling them on foureyedpride, but the fact you're $500 apart on any offer is kinda scary. lol Quote Selected

Reply #8 – March 11, 2012, 03:08:16 PM 500 bucks for 10 year old tires?Pass some of that to me!The wheels? worth their weight in aluminum, unless you find someone wanting a set badly. I've got a mint set of my own...with good tires...they're really busy holding my Mustang up off the floor...Not trying to bust your ass here, but these cars..they're either show cars, daily drivers that are well maintained, or else junk cars that are being stripped or in the process of being restored/modded.Edit: '85 TC wheels? Those are the 10 holes, right? I'd give you 100 bucks for the wheels...you can have the Goofyear Haterbacks :DI doubt anyone is going to pay 500 bucks for 10 year old Gator B's when a set of nice street tires can be had for not much more. Just sayin'. Quote Selected

Reply #9 – March 11, 2012, 07:28:24 PM Nothing was ever mentioned about $500 for the wheels! The buyer of my TurboCoupe is $500 short of cash in hisoffer to buy the CAR, so he's willing to take the Mustang10-hole wheels with almost new Mastercraft tires with the car & leave me the original wheels/tires to sell.I figured to the right person, maybe an buttstuff retentive collector?,I might be able to get at least $200-300 dollars for them,so I could knock $200 off my bottom-dollar price to make thedeal work. Feeler: '85 TurboCoupe wheels (mint) w/GATORBACKS! Reply #10 – March 11, 2012, 08:20:15 PM Yeah the goodyears are the original factory replacement brand for fox fords. They don't make them in the factory size anymore and haven't for a long time. Assuming they are for a show car only, they can be worth some change.http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=See-All-Categories&_from=R40&_kw=goodyear+gatorbacks Quote Selected
