Actually I have been a member for a while I just never posted. Here is my 75k mile 86 5.0 Tbird and I don't know if I am going to keep it or not. I acquired it from my nephew who I loaned the money to buy it. But he no longer lives in GA and asked me to sell the car so he could repay the loan. Having owned a 88 Turbocoupe, a 93 5.0 Tbird, a 97 4.6 Tbird, and a bunch of mustangs I just might hold onto it. Besides having this crazy part throttle surge / hesitation everything else works.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Keep it if you can, it's awesome! What's up with the emissions/vacuum diagram on the fan shroud? It's in two pieces, usually it's one big sticker. Interesting...

86 5.0 cars have it in two pieces. The 87-88 have it in one piece. I have no idea why as they have the same information. My guess is someone figured out that it's easier to put one decal on instead of two.
