Re: shifter problem Reply #1 – May 31, 2005, 11:31:02 PM when i took mine apart, my button flew across the car and i lost it for a week, luckely when i did this i was putting in a T-5 so i didnt worry about it. but anyway, when i found it again, i stuck it back in the handle and put the rest of the back in, then snaped the T on the handle and it was fine Quote Selected
Re: shifter problem Reply #2 – June 01, 2005, 04:04:06 PM how does the button stay in place inside the t handle Quote Selected
Re: shifter problem Reply #3 – June 01, 2005, 04:13:56 PM The white rod inside the shifter keeps it in place. Make sure that the spring is in the handle. Then put the button on. Then, holding the button a ittle bit to make sure it doesn't fly out, pop the handle back onto the shift lever. When it's on all the way, the button will not come out and will work normally. Re: shifter problem Reply #4 – June 02, 2005, 07:52:13 AM so the t part comes off the shifter pole Quote Selected
shifter problem Reply #5 – November 25, 2005, 05:17:18 AM For future reference, if it sticks because the button won't push in, drop your fist on top of the handle once or twice. This will push it down just a little, which allows the button to function. Quote Selected
