Premium Sound Amp Tray

I have the premium sound without the eq. The tray in the trunk has 2 different things on it. The factory amp is on the right. But there is a plastic box on the left side. Its probably 3x3 inches and I think it had 3 wires coming off of it (Ill have to check it again). I can put a pic up tonight if nobody knows what Im talking about. What is this thing?

I'm putting some aftermarket stereo equipment in and my new amp wont fit on the tray w/ that box there. Im just going to move it but I wanted to know what it is first. Thanks for your help.

I bypassed my entire premium sound (also had eq) and when I took out the amp I also took out the thing next to it but it was a black plastic box and I think it was bigger than 3x3 but all of a sudden I noticed my keyless entry pad wasnt working at all. Put that box back in and everything was fine. so if its the same as mine was it should be like the module for the keyless entry. I just left mine hooked up and relocated it...Hope that helps

My car never had keyless entry and I had that little box as well. I'm not sure exactly what it is or what it does, but I've never had any problems after removing it completely. Just take it off, check all your options and make sure they work. It's probably stereo related.

It's either the keyless entry module, or the illuminated entry module (probably the latter).

I dont have keyless entry but I do have the illuminated entry. Ill just move it. Thanks guys.
