Should finally have a tbird tc agian

Well I havent been in a fox tbird for a few years and Ive been missing having one. So I started looking around and found a few. I decided it had to be a TC or a Sport, since I have had both in the past and loved them.

Well Ive finally got a deal working and should be picking it up in the next week. Its and '88 TC with aftermarket wheels. Cant wait to get it!!

These are some pics the seller has up, when I get it home I'll get some better ones.

Should be, the current owner is a body man. According to him the only thing that really needs attention is the front fenders. Which he has an extra set of.

The wheels are one of the things that made me contact him in the first place as he's about 2 hrs away.

Was an auto, but was swapped to a 5 speed. He did change the computer over to. New exhaust and otherwise pretty much stock. But for the price Ill be getting it at I wont complain about much. Dont think that there are not plans down the road though for the 2.3!

:DNothing to complain about. 5 speeds are fun, and the rest of it being stock means you have a clean canvas to start with.

5 speed was my one major thing I was looking for, after that as long as it didnt have the 3.8 I was game. I do like having a clean canvas to start with and it orinally being an auto the chances of it being abused to bad are on the slimmer side. Not sure if hes gonna still include it, but he was offering an extra engine in the ad. If it is still included Ive got me some plans for it.

Looks like a nice find. I'd ditch the wal mart wheels, myself, but that's MY opinion lol

Well Im gonna be picking it up Sunday sometime and driving it home! I actually like the wheels, they are Enkei (think I spelled that right). They are kinda different then anything else you normally see on tbirds.

Ok I was just thinking. Since it was an auto and was swapped to a 5 speed. Other than the computer are there any differences between the 2 that I should take care of for future reasons.

Well I got it home guys. Runs great and does have a few issues, but I did get a bit of a back story on it. It was saved from the crusher by the guy I bought it from. It was actually in a buddy of his junkyard and they luckily still had a clear title for it!! Its got a few rust issues on the main body, but the underside is clean. Now Im willing to let the cash price I paid out of the bag...... $1300 and heres the craigslist ad I found it in: http://waterloo.craigslist.org/cto/2680771262.html

It needs a bath before I get some good pics so those are gonna have to wait a bit!

Did you buy the parts car that went with it? This is in where I live and was trying to get parts from the guy.

And congrats on the purchase.

He actually sold the parts car to a guy that wanted to biuld a race car out of one. He does still have some of the extra parts floating around I think. He also was glad that the person that bought it is actually gonna bring it back to its former glory. It needs some body work, and the seats reupholstered, other wise its pretty clean. I do need to figure out how to get the speedo accurate though. It was an auto car swapped to a manual and it still has the autos 3.73 rear gears and 235/60r15 tires. So its a hair over 10mph off by gps speedo.
