Car youd like to own (realistic)

I was sitting back and thinking, i see these type of threads pop up, and people post all the stuff they would never be able to have, like a 2 original mile 91 Cuda AAR 340 6-pack, or something like that

i wondered what people would want on a more realistic scale, for example, i wouldnt mind:

91-92 Supra, turbo preferably

67 Mini Cooper

64 MGB

65 Sunbeam Tiger
It's Gumby's fault.

I've got several, but I'm not gonna post pics owing to the fact I'm at the cottage and suffering the dialup blues:

2005 Dodge Magnum wagon with Hemi and AWD, jet black with chrome rims and 5% tint all 'round
1949-51 Mercury, chopped, channeled, updated chassis and brakes, and supercharged Cobra power
1969 Fastback Mustang (prefer big block, but small block would do)
2005 Mustang GT
Volvo V70 or 850 wagon T5-R
1997-2004 Dakota 4X4 short box with the 318 and a 5-speed (or the 360 if available, but I think the 360 only came in 2WD models)

And of course, my '88 'Bird, but with a HO/T5 swap, 3.73's and big brakes. Aw hell, while I'm fantasizing I may as well toss in a pair of Twisted Wedge aluminum heads, a whipplecharger, and the cam/fuel/exhaust system required to support it, and a Cobra IRS out back
2015 Mustang GT Premium - 5.0, 6-speed, Guard Green - too much awesome for one car

1988 5.0 Thunderbird :birdsmily: SOLD SEPT 11 2010: TC front clip/hood ♣ Body & paint completed Oct 2007 ♣ 3.55 TC rear end and front brakes ♣ TC interior ♣ CHE rear control arms (adjustable lowers) ♣ 2001 Bullitt springs ♣ Energy suspension poly busings ♣ Kenne Brown subframe connectors ♣ CWE engine mounts ♣ Thundercat sequential turn signals ♣ Explorer overhead console (temp/compass display) ♣ 2.25" off-road dual exhaust ♣ T-5 transmission swap completed Jan 2009 ♣

thats good, but id say only about half of it is realistic :hick:

anyway, im with ya on the magnum awd black and some draglights with paxton, or a 2002 tbird black with jag xkr motor, or a  jag xkr even a xk8 would do (non convertable).

Car I'd like to own?

I'm building them :p

The only other "realistic" wants would be a Euro Capri, and a 74-76 VW Dasher 2-door.
Long live the 4-eyes!  - '83 Tbird Turbo - '85 Marquis LTS - '86 LTD Wagon-  '81 Granada GL 2dr

- A '64 Fairlane Thunderbolt, or (more realistically) a knock-off of above. Wouldn't have to be accurate.
- A '63 1/2 or '64 Galaxie 500 2-door fastback.. at least a 390 in it, for old time's sake.
- A Fairmont/Zephyr with a 2.3T in it, or with a boosted 200 I6. (yeah, a 200.. not the 300 project)
- Any Fox-body Capri without the bubble-hatch. Maybe with my 351 stuck under the hood.
- One of my current cars (even the LSC is fair game) made into a sedan delivery.. with the boosted 300 I6 project and one of my quirky alternative-gearing ideas. Need to find someone willing to do a good photochop for this one.
- A 1971 (year I was born) Corvette.. would have to be dark green.

While all of the above is in the fantasy realm while I'm still unemployed, I don't expect my finances to suck forever.. so I expect at least one of the above will be possible within the next 5-10 years.

Ones I doubt will be possible even after that:

- Shelby Cobra, even if it's a kit-Cobra.
- Ferrari F355.
- Porsche 959, the only Porsche I like.

Might edit more into this later.

Hey Bird351, the bubble hatch mustangs were plenty here, and mostly with 351. These were very quick cars.....(i´m thinking in your project "stump-puller" for this car ?)

Well, ill be happy with a convertible cougar, with 500HP with any V8 and six speed manual, and A/C (my cougar dont have A/C....now im using 2/60 a/c) and CD player (mmm, i only had an old cassette stereo....)

But if were directly from the dealer, ill choose a Mercury Marauder or a Ford Lightning...

1989 F-200 V8
1996 Explorer V6
2001 F-150

The "stump-puller" would be covered pretty much by the supercharged 300 I6 project.

I like Fox Capris.. I've owned two of them in the past.. I just don't like the bubble-hatch. I had an '80 with the 2.3 and an '81 with the 200 I6 and T-tops. I'd love to have another Capri with T-tops.. just no bubble-hatch. :p

Side note:  Thunderchicken, someone I used to work with had a 4X4 Daktoka R/T with the 360 so I guess their are a few out their.

In no particular order (and I do believe these are realistic):

--87-88 T-bird w/ a H.O. conversion designed to be powerful but not suck the gas dry during city or highway driving.
--87-88 T-bird w/ a beefcake of a 4 banger turbo setup (to make chuck happy!!!).
--05 or whatever Dodge Srt-4 w/ a Stage 3 setup.
--88 Pontiac Fiero GT w/ a chebby 350 v8 conversion setup (they're technically my most favorite car, but I love my T-bird pretty much the same!).
--93 Toyota Supra w/ a setup to make it a 10-12 second quarter mile car.
--92 Geo Metro, daily driver since I'd be afraid of scratchin' the baby's!!!
Temporarily Foxless? Ride the Bull...
