Fuel pump not priming

I need some help. I went to start my car today, and it won't start. I knew immediately that the fuel pump isn't priming, you can normally hear it before I crank it; I always listen for it. Today, nothing. This car is my daily driver, so I really need to get this done quick, where is the relay, and how can I test it? The in tank pump is the one that primes the system, right?

Last night my battery died, and I had to jump it, but I got home alright. Had to replace the terminals this morning. After I replaced the terminals is when the fuel pump stopped priming. Thanks!

Thanks Tom, can you tell me where the ECM ground is located? Behind the passenger side kick panel with the ECM I'd assume. I'm at work, so I can't do any troubleshooting at the moment.

There's a ground next to the ecm, and another right next to the front bolt on the pass seat near the door sill.... the one by the seat goes to the trunk and pump wiring. I just traced them last month. Providing the wiring is the same as my 87

On the fuel pump relay:
The yellow wire always has voltage.
The red wire has voltage with the key on and the inertia switch is not open. This voltage goes to the relay pick coil.
The pink wire has voltage if the relay is picked. This voltage goes to the pumps.
The tan wire comes from the ECM to provide ground for the relay pick coil.

Ground the tan wire at the self test connector to help trouble shoot.

Thanks for all the responses. I have verified that the fuel pump cutoff switch is not the problem, it's a closed circuit when the switch is closed and an open circuit when the switch is tripped. The reset button works fine.

I believe the problem is the ECU Power Relay. The relay is located under the passenger side kick panel, and it just started making clicking noises while I was doing some troubleshooting. It makes rapid clicking noises when you turn the key to run, sometimes it'll keep clicking, sometimes it'll stop clicking. Certainly no good. Part number E35F-12A646-BA1. Assuming I'm interpreting the EVTM page correctly, the EEC is receiving no power at all if this relay goes down, and therefore the fuel pump relay will also receive no power. Now I just gotta find an autoparts store that can get me one of these TODAY. Might have to call the dealers...

Thanks for the pictures Softtouch, they helped a lot.

Scratch that, I'm a idiot. When I replaced the battery terminals, I forgot to reconnect the ECU main ground. I hooked that back up and now she's running just fine. Thanks again!

Soft touch I think the early cars do not have a provision for running the pump from the ALDL. According to ALL DATA and memory i think i am correct. Your print does not show it ether.

Tom,
My 84 had the tan pump relay ground wire at the self test connector.
In the EVTM diagram they call it the "VIP Test Connector". I believe VIP means Vehicle Interface Port. You can see the wire going to it below the fuel pump relay.
