k so I got a boost control solenoid. Does it matter witch way vacuum lines come in and out of it. I know people say bypass it and use something else. But for now I just want to get everything working right first.

didn't even see this, but i believe it does make a difference.. i don't think it'll function correctly if it's hooked up backwards

You can lead a horse to water, but you just can't make him drink....

Welcome, looks like a great car to build on.

The Gillis valve posted would serve as a replacement for your BCS as they both are a means of controlling boost.  I understand you just want to use your stock BCS for now.  I don't think it matters which hose goes to which side.  I would just hook the hoses up and go for a test drive then try both regular and premium settings on your fuel switch.  The regular setting should give you about 10psi and the premium should give you about 15 psi.

As far as the dash lights go, did they work before you removed the speaker wiring?  You may have pinched a wire when messing with that stuff.  Here is a link you might check out.  http://www.coolcats.net/help/dash.html

OK question If i use the Gillis valve do I still need to have the BCS hooked up for the computer so it wont have a CEL? And I got the lights working it was just a dirty dimmer switch.

i'm going to have to say no.. my new tc is basically stock with a gillis valve and the CEL doesn't come on, nor do i have any 'hidden' codes

Ok I have still been fixing wiring and such but still can not get the clock to come on. I have plans on putting the gas mileage computer in but need to make sure it's going to be getting power first. All fuses have been checked.

maybe the clock is shot :dunno: i'd pull it out (if you haven't already) and check the wires going into the back side of it.. i always check fuses, then start probing the problem area, which in your case, is at the clock itself

mine is still plugged in.. tomorrow i'm going to start cleaning up under the hood and going to disconnect it.. we'll see if she throws a code without it ;) but somehow, i doubt it since it's not doing anything without any vacuum lines hooked to it
