Trans swap

found a 88 tbird with a 3.8l in it. ..Well i need the trans and a fiew other parts off it only.. will the trans from the 3.8 go into my 88 cougar, 5.0l ??

the bolt pattern is the same so yeah it should work.

Will work but it is much/much weaker,will probably not handle the torque for long.

ahh makes sence.. Well cuz my cougar needs a lil body work.. tranny for sure (i estimate my 0-60 is around 3 minutes.) I found a t-bird that runs good..trans is great and the body is complete garbage.. Bah i dunno what im gunna do.
