Bet you've never seen one of these 2.3L Fords. :D

It's owned by a guy in one of the local car clubs I cruise with.

My family used to have a Sea Ray 19' boat with a 3.7L four cylinder. That thing was a monster on the water. The engine was basically half of a 460ci.

Ugh, I don't wanna talk about boats.. I just sold mine off within the past 2-3 years.. and now my fiance is saying "I wanna boat!" over and over. If I still had my boat, I'd shut her up about it, because it would scare the living shiznit out of her. (it was a 17 1/2' Hydra Sports bass boat with a 200-horse Mercury Black Max on it.. jack plate, low water pickup, and exhaust holes drilled out above the waterline.. estimated around 80 mph top speed)

lol, mine and my dads can "only" go around 50-55, its a 17 1/2' triton with a 115 merc on it. friend of ours has a 21' gambler with a 225 on it, been over 100mph now thats fun...until ya hit alot of wake lol.

throw a turbocoupe motor in there and fab up some stuff for the intercooler :D

Going fast on water seems a lot different than going fast on land. Even 40-50 seems very fast when there's no windshield and you're slamming into wave after wave.

Isn't boost on the average marine engine somewhat of a waste of time, due to the different operating characteristics? (prolonged operation at high RPM, etc.) This is just speculation on my part.

My dad has a boat, too, but is terribly heavy. Even we considered to fix my old motor and put them at the boat, but if it was running wierd on the land, in the sea will be a shame. Now we are looking for a 115Hp engine......

I was looking for the turbo on that engine, but i dont see it. Its a N/A 2.3 ?

I wouldn't know. My knowledge of marine engines is pretty much nill.
