Are all AODs geared the same?

I've got an '87 xr7 and even with the 3.73s, first gear feels really tall.  I'm putting a B&M holeshot in in a few weeks but I got to wondering if all AODs were created equal.  If not, what ones are best?

I could be wrong, but I'm assuming that AODs are pretty much the same.  The only thing that would vary would be the rear ends.  The tranny in my first bird was swapped in from a Marquis and it was geared the same.  Sorry if I'm not much help, I've only had experience with 2 or 3 aods and they've all been the same.

Here's a chart  for yah. It appears that the only AOD that is geared differently is the Wide Ratio AOD put in SVOs. Hope that helps. ^_^
