carnage with pics...... Reply #4 – October 08, 2011, 12:51:14 PM One of the rear caliper bolts broke, and the caliper flipped up and got wedged between the wheel and the axle destroying the wheel. Quote Selected

carnage with pics...... Reply #6 – October 08, 2011, 12:54:00 PM Here you can see how it was wedged, there was one piece about 4" long that was holding the wheel together that and the tire bead.:hick: Quote Selected
carnage with pics...... Reply #7 – October 08, 2011, 01:15:41 PM I almost had that happen on my front wheel. One of the bolts came out of the caliper bracket off the spindle and the whole works came up and rubbed on the inside of the wheel. Did squish the bracket slightly though so I had to run a tap through it to get a bolt back in. Quote Selected
carnage with pics...... Reply #8 – October 08, 2011, 05:27:10 PM Ouch. That looks wicked. At least the wheels are easy to find, and you and the car are alright. You can fix this. Quote Selected

carnage with pics...... Reply #13 – October 08, 2011, 10:25:43 PM mine happened at 60 to 65, just it couldn't get a real good wedge effect on the caliper since I have 13" cobra brakes. Quote Selected
