Almost famous?

I just opened up my monthly Christmas Wish Book (AKA MM&FF magazine) and lo-and-behold - We got a mention in the frickin'  magazine! Or, rather, we got a mention in one of the Mustang Mail letters. Kudos to Ron (1 WLD BRD) for the props!

Of course, Cougarnuts, TCCOA and SCCOA got mentioned also, but we all know that they don't count :raspberry . I wonder if any T-Bird/Cougar owner will read that and come here?:ies:

Hahah, thanks man, I can't believe I was the first person to do it.  In hind sight, I really hope we don't get a lot of unwanted Stang trolls over here triing to shoot us down. :(
The only reason Sccoa, and Tccoa got a mention from me is that I know there are some fast cars on both sites, and I figure if enough fast cars from each party (fox- MN12) show up, we might actually gain some respect in the Stang crowd, and car crowd in general.  ( I personally hate the attitudes of 90% of there posters on both sites.  Aint been on SCCOA for well over a year now.)

That was the idea, to get more intrest in these cars.  Looks like I got us a shoot out happening too.  Need you guys to enter the shoot out and email steve and show him the intrest in these cars.

How bout an advertising gift for the wld brd huh? lol j/k. :canada:

If I get the '88 XR-7 that I've been looking at I will be running a small decal with this, and cougarnuts web address' on it, in my rear window.

I was on "ask bernie" once (about 8-9 years ago) ... think he suggested a gt-40 type package with an e cam..

I had a letter to "Ask Bernie" answered too, back in '93. I knew nothing about these cars and asked some dumb questions, such as would a TC hood fit my '85 V6 'Bird (Bernie said "No", for the record) and what I could do for performance given my carbureted car and no emissions concerns (and got the canned "swap in a 5.0 HO/Mass Air" response for my troubles).

LOL,  funny how far back some of us go back... Hey Carmen do you remember that thundercoupe website, I meet Jeff Korn on there from the photo section I dropped him an email about his tc rear swap, he was one of the first I knew of that did the Tc rear swap and bigger brakes up front. I'm going way back like 10 years or more..

I remember all of those articles! Wow, I forgot about some of that stuff. Remember the dude from NY that modified an MN12 IRS for his black '8x T-Bird in Super Ford?

I think Bernie gave my site props once. It was a 'pass the buck' thing though...still, it was nice to see some print. Speaking of, Ron...guess I better start sending out the next round of bribery checks... ;)

there was a guy in superford that had a fox tbird with a 4.6 cammer motor in it. The pic was black and white and pretty small.. Than there was the blue 85 or 86 tbird in mm@ff it was with the blown 347 stroker and the weld EVO wheels... Nice big article in the middle of the mag. Wonder what happened to that car, never seen it pop up here or corral..

Haha, no need for a check, your convertible will due just fine.  LMAO :rollin:
although I do need another Coolcats.net decal for across the windshield though, but I guess I can wait till CJ to buy it.  (White in color if possible)

You had an actual full page write up in there as well Eric, in the section Cyber Stallions.  I have the article and can scan it tonight if anybody wants to read it.

There have been a few MN12 birds in there that I have too.  Would love to see a write up on a Cougar or T bird from around the board soon too, Likely would happen for some who attend the shoot out. HINT HINT Nick, Weasle, Ed, Eric. ;)

well...we all know that if there was a shoot out, the shoot out would turn into:

-who can yell "put a 5.0 in it" first
-who can change the TFI module first
-who complains about the lack of cupholders first
-who blows the first headgasket
-who is the first to tell Nick to put it on the dyno...
It's Gumby's fault.

That Cyber Stallions article is where I first heard about Coolcats, and it's been a wild ride ever since! :giggle:
