Pics look great for that car!! Looks like it's in the condition of my '84 Cougar. Mine is  near perfect except the drivetrain needs TLC. Good luck with her, and she will treat ya right.

88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

I have a pair of clean rust free fenders off my deceased 88 turbocoupe.  I'll let them go cheep to ya.  if your interested I'll check on shipping cost.

I have a pair of rust free fenders off an 88 cougar also.  But are the 83-86 fender any different?  Also, my fenders have the cornering light holes in them.

Yep 83-86 fender has a body line above the side molding that the 87-88 does not.

Thank you, do you have the fila as well? if you put the time in the drivetrain you will be happy with the outcome

haha lower fender near the rocker, as well as the lower quarters. The engine bay needs much loving as well.

I'd try to stick with the appropriate fenders. Keep it "right". Post those pics of the old car.

if you can't find fenders....maybe lower sections of 87-88s below the body line will work... they'll need to be welded though...I used all lower sections on my 85.
I'm noticing that panels are really getting tough to find in the last 2 years.

Pretty much every panel on my 87 is new, rebuilt, or re constructed. :D
