Found a coolant lean and a cracked vac line

Line felt like a plastic hardline, not like rubber when taken off :giggle:
somewhere there's a tiny leak of coolant, ending up on the #3 plug boot.

That cracked line you're speaking of isn't a vacuum, it's just the shielding over the wires.

I think he's talking about the breather line in the middle of the photo vinnie. The leak is probably coming from that heater line right over #3.

That Cracked hose lets UN-METERED air to enter the engine. And that heater hose is a common problem with the 2.3T Ford. It sits directly over the exhaust manifold and gets brittle from the exhaust heat. As well as the closed crankcase hose that is split and also is subject to the heat. It is basically necessary to install Silicone hose in those locations for a permanent fix. Silicone heater hose is also  necessary to  eliminate tension on the heater core nipples.  Personally i eliminate the breather/regulator/separator in the valve cover and the hose and install  valve cover breathers. And plug the fitting.

You know, I have to say this.....if there's ONE thing I truly can't stand, it's un-metered air. That just disgusts me.

I gave the correct answer. Non metered air is NOT GOOD.  I tried and i know where i stand now. Thanks for clearing that up Vinnie. And setting me straight!! I can take a HINT!!!

I'm just being a smart a$$. If I hint at anything, it'll be a hint to get me a pizza, followed by a cold glass of delicious un-metered air. LOL.
