It's Hotter Than H---

X

I know there's been crazy weather (and earthquakes!) all over the country this year.

We're in the middle of a severe drought in every county of the state that's been going on since October 2010...and top of that we've been breaking records for consecutive 100+ degree days all over the place. Today was a record breaker here for the highest temperature on this date in Houston. Officially today's high was 109, but you can see what the Grand Marquis thought about it on my way to a friend's house this afternoon. I think I was leaving trails of melted rubber on the interstate. ;)

My poor yard is so dead...we're even loosing decades-old trees all over the place. So sad...

That sucks. I used to live in Baytown when I was real young and I remember seeing toads fried to the sidewalks in the summertime in the mornings. Out of all the places I've ever lived Texas is by far the hottest, I sure don't miss it.
FOXLESS!!

107 here yesterday. Since the middle of June, only 2 days were below 100. And that was 98 one day, and 99 the other.

I wish I had a fancy car with a thermometer.  Ha.

I am in KS right now, where it has been  hot, but probably not as bad as OK or TX.
