Big problem with the Sport....

Yes, it does. But, it's a pain I have learned to live with. Gotta pay to play. I looked at my check book.........looked at the cost of two 275 40 17 tires......now all of the sudden, the Sport is driving slower. Crazy stuff.

I think that's the tire upkeep cost monitor. It's a very rare and nonexistant option.

It has a microphone that senses obscenities uttered by the owner about tire cost and retards the timing until tire life is satisfactory. :hick:

Yep, after troubleshooting...that's the answer right there.

^My car hasn't found that problem yet.  My rear tires still seem to last longer than my fronts, and I know my tires cost way more than your tires vinnie

I did have those tires for a little over two years, so, I am fortunate they lasted that long.

Hey, thats a really good amount of time compared to me.  I go through at least 2 full sets a year at $340 a piece.  I'm addicted to hoosier crack:)

Mine's an everyday driver. Not built for road courses. Built as a great "all around" car. Strong car, looks good, hauls groceries, goes to the salvage yard, whatever. No race tires.

I must not be driving hard enough....my XS's lasted me two full summers before I started swapping them around with victoracers to use everything up. Those two summers only had 5 or so events each, but also alot of street miles.
I started callin around to local road race teams, and have found a couple sellin take offs for $150 a set. Thats what I'll be racing on from now on.

90% of my driving is to work, then home. 1 mile each way.

true, but the first runs are always the best, and I'm sure the good stuffs used up after they are done with em.  I've raced every weekend this summer other than 2, but several weekends were 2 days.  Vinnie, after looking for a set of street tires for my autox car to fit on 18x10 wheels, I realized that decent everyday tires are not that far behind race rubber.  I ended up finding a set of almost finished toyo r888's for next to nothing, even compared to that jbtires.

I've got Nexen 3000 tires. They have actually proven to be very good tires for the Sport, and basically affordable.....also, remember, no money from my paycheck goes into the Sport for anything. That makes it a nice challenge.

I live 4 miles from work!! lol thermostat opens as I pull in my drive way depending on time of year! LOL I could just imagine a mile!

check money should be alowed for tires. That's maintenance. Not upgrades. Just like oil changes and air filters....
