Noob here, just sayin' hi!

Just thought I'd introduce myself. Found this site while searching for a tail light, it looked pretty cool so I decided to stop and stay a while. I'm 17, from MN, and my first car is an '87 bird with a 5.0 and an auto. It's been a "driving restoration" that gives my dad and I a chance to work together. It started as a ratty base bird with both rear windows knocked out and generally just a mess, but somehow it avoided any rust over the Minnesota winters. After cleaning it up inside and out we swapped in the front and rear suspension and brakes from a later model 'stang, as well as the rear end. We lowered it a bit and put it on Ford Bullitt style wheels. So far we haven't done anything with the motor except the exhaust, but that's soon to change since it's getting up there in miles and is due for an update. It's been a perfect summer driver, great on the highway (and not bad on gas with the 2.73's), enough power to get around town, it sounds awesome, and I love getting looks and nods while I'm cruising around.

So there's my introduction, hopefully I enjoy my stay here and maybe learn a thing or two.
