help with V6 motor mount relpacement

I need to know how to remove my motor mounts from my 87 Tbird with a V6.I have jack it up from under the car with a jack at the crank,but it did not rise up enough to remove it.Plus I did not like trying to rise in that way.I have a hoise which I could,but I am asking for advice frist

thats how i changed mine, jacked it up high enough and took them out.
dont be afraid to go too high and bend something, my colum shifter stuff was fine.
p.s. i hope the mounts you got are the right ones as the ones i put on werent the fluid filled ones and it vibrates horribly. no one had the right ones :/

There's a tab that sticks through a hole on the bracket, it's to prevent the engine from knocking the hood off when (that's WHEN, not if) the mount breaks....hopefully this isn't your hang-up. No pun intended.

If you can get a light and a mirror up in there, you'll see what I mean. Also, be wary of your exhaust...if that's still bolted tight, and it's a fairly good pipe, that could be an issue as well.

Ok,I decide to come out tuesday to do the motor mounts.Jack the motor up got the mount on driverside no problem.However the other side.I will have to remover the starter to have clear shot at that last bolt.The Doctor is goingt in.7:18 pm.

8:21 i have remover the starter an the mount.Now the 2 screws holes won,t line up with the bracket.#@$!@@#$%
I guess I will enlarge one holes and finsh up friday.Some after market stuff sucks.Yes I said it.
