Center caps for '86 'Bird wheels, Headlight Covers May 20, 2005, 02:40:19 AM Hello, Everyone:I just acquired my Dad's '86 T-Bird, and I'm needing a few Items:At least one wheel center cap (victim of tire installer with no brain and an air wrench) :hick: Headlight covers, preferably clear. I had these on the '86 'Bird I had from '86 to '96, until a jerk in a van cut me off, and then slammed on his brakes! :nutkick: If anyone has any of these items, or info on same, PLEASE contact me! Thanks for listening, hope someone out there can help me. Sincerely, Dennis "Mac" McFarland Resident Olde Dude Quote Selected

Re: Center caps for '86 'Bird wheels, Headlight Covers Reply #2 – May 21, 2005, 01:12:01 AM Well Scott:I don't have pics of her yet, but here's what I know:3.8 V-6, C-5 auto trans (3-speed) white with red interior, P/W, P/S, P/M, A/C, Factory Road Wheels, new struts and shocks, new valve cover gaskets, PA state Inspection (Safety & Emissions), garage kept, has never seen snow, 63K original miles, trans serviced 15K miles ago, oil changed every 3K miles. :D I paid $1000.00 for it, but if he wasn't my Dad, the car would have had a $2400.00 price tag. The tough part is, I have to fly from Jacksonville, Florida to Pittsburgh, PA to pick it up, do all the legal stuff, and then drive it back 860 miles to St. Marys, GA. Twelve hours on the road might be a little rough on my old bones, haven't done it in a few years. Oh well, I'll take some Skynyrd, 38 Special, Metallica, Ozzy, Aerosmith's Greatest, AC/DC, and of course, George Thorogood. Gotta have "Bad To The Bone", played that in my black 'Bird a lot, it fits!! Gotta have my Metal, too!! :headbang: I'll keep everyone updated, and get pics as soon as I get it here and get it registered. I need some wheel ideas, too. Well, gotta go, keep in touch, Scott! Say the word: THUNDERBIRD!!! Mac McFarland Quote Selected
Re: Center caps for '86 'Bird wheels, Headlight Covers Reply #3 – May 24, 2005, 12:28:35 AM Sounds like a great Bird. If you can find an O'reilly auto parts they can get you the head light covers. I got some there about 2mos ago there were special order but they one took 3days to get. I did get the smoked ones but hey they were like $50. Any how I just put them on about a week ago. They look KILLER. I just went and dug the box out of the trash there are Auto ventshade part number 37714. I remember you put a c after for clear and s for smoke. I also checked on the clears they were same price and delivery time. By the way I always call mine Da Bird! Crank that shiznit and pedal to the medal!!!!! Quote Selected
