New fuel pump.....

I ordered a new fuel pump kit Friday night, and it arrived Monday afternoon. Wicked fast shipping. I haven't had it out of the box yet, but should have it installed tomorrow afternoon when I get the Sport back from the a/c shop. I'll take the Bird out for a little drive and then make a full report. It was priced right, and I figured I'd give it a try to replace the stock H.O style pump replacement that is in the tank now. I hear a lot about the Walbro pump, and I have used the Walbro before (new 190lph pump), and it died in 6 months. I figure any brand of any part has the ability to go bad. This pump fit the budget just fine, has a warranty, and may just turn out to be great. Who knows until you actually try. Like a lot of parts, many people have a lot to say, but have never used them and base their opinions on what they hear others say. I try to keep what I say based on work I have actually done, or parts I have actually used. Now, stay tuned for a report soon. Here's the kit I bought..................

I put my High Flow Performance 255lph pump in the turbo Cougar in March of 09.  I haven't had a problem with it, hopefully you won't either.

I've been reading about those units a fair bit over on corral....nothing bad yet, I've read. I'll try one when my 255 lph Walbro does croak on me.

I hope for good things with this pump. It's add says it's very quiet. That part didn't mean anything to me since I wouldn't be able to hear it with my exhaust anyway.LOL.As you all know, the Sport was, and is, built on a "no dollar" budget, so every deal I can find, I have to give it a shot.

The fuel pump is still working great. Not a single issue with it, and it really is REALLY quiet.
