Wish me luck..UPDATE with pics....

I'm going out to fab the prototype GT-40 intake plate. I am having high hopes it turns out nice. I'll post a pic when I'm done.

5.0 HO 306 roller block, machined GT-40P heads, Wiseco dished forged pistons, Eagle forged floating I-beam connecting rods, Lunati pushrods, ARP bolts, Scorpion aluminum 1.6 rockers, Comp Cams Magnum 266HR, Explorer intake, 65mm TB, MAF Conversion, 19# injectors, Ford Racing stainless P-headers, 2-1/2" cat-less exhaust w/ Flowtech Afterburner lers , SC AOD with 2800 BDR torque converter, 3.73 T-Lok rear, CHE rear control arms, full 2-1/2" frame w/1" jacking rails & seat supports, Rear disk brakes, Turbine wheels, All original interior w/ floor shift upgrade .......
Pretty much every panel on my 87 is new, rebuilt, or re constructed. :D

This is as far as I'm going with it. Is it perfect? No. Is it a great substitute? Yes. It's not chrome finished by any means, but you can see yourself in it easily. The shape is mildly different ,but,it's hand made,so,that's the way it goes. I'm pleased with the finished results,though......Here's Gayle's hand modeling the newly finished GT-40 intake plate....




The one for my car has 4 holes,the other is the one I fabbed up....

and X2 on the hands, gotta know what your secret is!

I think you should start using Nevr-Dull,  I have a ,,like 1/2gal size canister thats been in use for over 20years, If you store it upside down,,,and thats the key,, then your wool will always be moist on top.

I think you will enjoy it.

My secret to hands like that was to marry a tiny woman with awesome skin. Seems to still be working well.
