New development

Well as I had stated in a different thread my mom passed away in December , Well I inherited my Dad's  88 Town Car
So in my situation I dont need multiple cars so on a whim I placed an ad on craigsist as a feeler for my Bird
I put what I thought was a fairly high price of  Two Thousand ($2000) dollars on it
Well lo and behold a gentleman showed up this morning to look at my car and he pulled twenty one hundred dollar bills out of his pocket and he drove home in a black Tbird

I will still hang out here however because it is only a matter of time before I get another Fox car of some sort .

There was a guy on the Corral a few years back who did the conversion to an '88 Crown Vic (same thing under the hood). He used the H.O cam, roller rockers,GT-40 intake, and I can't remember what headers he used.A ler shop layed out the H-Pipe and duals. Nice setup, and was actually pretty quick.

It would be cool to have a hot rodded town car.
I've alway wanted to own an crown vic like the later box style. I've alway like big cars. The first car I drove was a 1980 Delta88. I wanted to buy it from my parents but they would'nt let me have it cause it had a V8. I guess cause they knew I'd put a 455 in it.
88 Cougar LS 5.0 .030 over, ported E7s with GT40 valves & trickflow springs, Proform roller rockers, HO cam, removed air silencer, K&N filter, smog pump delete, 2.25" dual flowmasters, Pacestter H-pipe & headers, HO computer, 65mm TB, Explorer intake, 19# injecters, 3.45s, rebuilt posi, and TCI shift kit.

I couldn't believe I got 2 grand for it either , I only had it listed since Thursday night just to see if there was any interest ..apparently there was, he didn't even offer me any less
(I think it was the trunk lock cover that did it  )

And Dad's car is REALLY REALLY  nice... he bought it from the original owner (an older woman) in early 2008
Dad passed away in August 09 and I have kinda been in charge of the car since, and when Mom passed my brothers and sisters unanimously elected me to get the car .
Granted a Town Car is not my first choice in a Lincoln but I will try to do Dad proud .
