Well the TC lost, although I believe had Rutledge not been stupid and neutral dropped it, he may have had a chance.  But regardless, we lost. :(

Yeah, you can't neutral bomb a A4LD and expect it to ever work again. If the idiot would've got a 5 speed, things would've been a lot different.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

"In 1987 the Ford Thunderbird set the fastest lap time ever in Nascar at 212.27 mph, with bill elliot at the wheel. My coupe has history". Best quote.

Actually it was 212.809... He qualified a '86 a year earlier at 212.239...

I'm alittle bit past halfway through now. I think he would have been alot better off with a 5.0. That TC looks like its sick and ready to die.

It made me happy to see it on tv reguardless of their contest.

I dont get how he messed up the 180 though, I've pulled them off numurous times with my car. The ebrake doesnt lock while in gear on mine though, seems like he was reaching down for the lever...

They forgot the category for style points.

The Thunderbird looked better than any of the other cars including the Charger that was chasing them around.
