Cobra valve covers and GT40 upper intake..... Reply #6 – November 28, 2010, 07:01:59 PM I know how I am. I'll gt them, look at them, like them a WHOLE lot, then chicken out installing them.LOL. If I do use them,I'll sell the current aluminum covers and make a few bucks back......maybe. I get wishy washy on these kind of things. Kitz knows that real well. he's had to push me pretty hard many times. If he hadn't, the Sport wouldn't be where it is now. Turbocoupe50 got my first H.O project to completion with his over the wire help. If not for them,I may still be looking at cool 5.0 parts and just wishing,as I was back then. Quote Selected
Cobra valve covers and GT40 upper intake..... Reply #7 – November 28, 2010, 08:33:41 PM Those are probably '94-95 Cobra valve covers if they say cobra on them. The '93 Cobras don't say anything. I'd probably paint the letters so they show up. Quote Selected
Cobra valve covers and GT40 upper intake..... Reply #8 – November 28, 2010, 08:53:04 PM Well, if you don't use them, Vinnie...I have another car, and your other covers will keep these company Quote Selected
Cobra valve covers and GT40 upper intake..... Reply #9 – November 28, 2010, 08:58:10 PM Perhaps these are from a '94/'95. Wither way,I don't care. They're new,and awesome. Jerry,Give me time to check the level of love I'm going to have for them. I had entertained the idea of having them chromed.....sweeeeeeeeeet. Quote Selected
Cobra valve covers and GT40 upper intake..... Reply #10 – November 30, 2010, 07:03:45 AM I just bought a GT-40 tubular intake last night as well. I really didn't have the funds to spend, but,I figured for the price,I'd better. I really don't know if I'd use it or flip it so I can get the new Mass Air meter,or just have a few extra funds for the Sport on a couple of other projects. I really like my intake anyway, and IF I kept the GT40 for the Sport,I'd have to.....prepare yourselves for what you're going to hear.....modify it visually to fit my own need for it to be different from everyone else's. Cobra valve covers and GT40 upper intake..... Reply #12 – November 30, 2010, 04:04:56 PM I know. I don't know why I think I HAVE to do it,but I just want it mildly different from anyone else's. Maybe I can do the Cobra inlay....Hmmm,I have something to think about tonight after the parade. Quote Selected
Cobra valve covers and GT40 upper intake..... Reply #13 – December 01, 2010, 01:58:36 AM Jeeze Vinnie, you have automotive ADD about like I do...probably why I can't stay focused on one thing at a time, and now my car looks like it's been stripped in the ghetto. lol Quote Selected
Cobra valve covers and GT40 upper intake..... Reply #14 – December 01, 2010, 06:50:40 AM I don't know if I have ADD, but I probably have some kind of disorder. It's not that I can't make my mind up, I just keep trying to to improve upon the same theme for the Sport . The Sport keeps getting better, but at a little less than a snails pace, plus, she's my daily driver. I think I have my plan for the GT40 intake, but I need to let the current intake find a new home asap. I have a cool idea for the GT40 that my fellow members will really like as well. Modding a GT40 intake, for me, is one of those "Take a deep breath.......here we go" kind of things, because once I start removing some aluminum, there's no putting it back. I won't rush into it.....I'll draw the idea out on paper, plus maybe a couple of more, study them, think about it a lot, then proceed with whatever idea I choose. Plus, working a GT40, I need to make SURE that I do it right the first time. Quote Selected
