No child left behind

No child left behind means no child gets ahead.  What has been done to the education system in this country since that garbage was implemented is a mockery.

I went to a union free school just outside of Buffalo where I happen to grow up.... They were all ex-nuns back when I went....We got an unbelievable education compared to all the other schools in the WNY area. Everyones average was in the high 80s, with the failing grade being 75 or lower. No one ever got left behind in that school system.... I moved away in 10th grade to another school system that was supposed to be really good.....I learned so much before i got there, I didn't have to study or really do homework, because they were just getting to everything I just learned 2 years earlier.....It was kinda a waste of 2 years of learning for me..... Just thought I would share...I don't know why..lol

Having a GED or Diploma is really nothing, unless you love standing there in one spot for 8 or 10 hours, doing the same  thing over and over.

I mean, I only know this from personal experience. The job I have now requires a year's worth of training. I had...oh, about 15 minutes when I landed it. I'm a fast learner, and I can do it as required, and without f*cking stuff up, but I don't yet make the pay that someone with the proper training would.

FWIW, I graduated in '95...having a diploma means little more than that you slogged through a state education. Not a whole lot to brag on.

And those questions/answers are a hoax, lol

kind of sounds like me when i went to my highschool (gloucester county institute of technology).. except it was basically 3-1/2 years of wasted education time in auto tech and math.. the only thing i came out of that school with was better knowledge on rebuilding FWD transmissions and AC systems (my dad never owned or worked on either, and i have yet to own a vehicle that was FWD or kept AC). and math, all i learned was pre-algebra.. unfortunately, my shop teacher told me everything had to start from the beginning because 75% of the students in my class have never been hands on and never did anything auto related before they got there.. that ticked me off a bit.. but that was no excuse for the academic classes.. hell, half the guys in my class came from the same town/school i did!

my point is, school systems need to try staying more in-tune with each other.. what if i had moved and transfered to a school that was way ahead of my previous school, i'd be lost beyond all belief..
