Stupid Nature September 30, 2010, 02:26:13 PM My mom just called me and told me I wouldn't be happy. I have some parts cars parked in the woods behind her house and keep some parts stored there too. For example, on one of the cars, I have two 87/88 TC hoods sitting on the hood, two more 87/88 TC hoods sitting on the roof and two 87/88 TC trunk lids sitting on the trunk. Apparently, a tree went down and landed on the car dead center lengthwise. She said I can kiss all the sheetmetal goodbye. I may go down there this weekend and scope it out in person, but I am not looking forward to it. Sounds like there may be four less hoods on the market. Stupid nature. Quote Selected

Stupid Nature Reply #3 – September 30, 2010, 04:21:23 PM I'm still watching the dying poplar tree in my backyard. With two other trees nearby, it will probably only fall one of two ways. East on the log sauna, or West on two '40's IHC KB2's and a 1950 Ford truck. I feel yer pain, Mike. Quote Selected

Stupid Nature Reply #10 – October 01, 2010, 02:36:33 AM That really sucks...hopefully there's something salvageable though.Nicole's S-10 was parked under a tree at her parent's earlier this summer. We stopped by a day or so after a pretty severe storm rolled through....a branch about as big around as my wrist had broken off, and fell sharp-end down...pierced her tonneau cover. Guess I get to do some fiberglass work sometime :hick:Trees....it's a love/hate kinda thing. Least for me, it is. Quote Selected

Stupid Nature Reply #12 – October 02, 2010, 10:55:19 AM I was actually suppose to be in this car during the time the tree fell, but the wife insisted I eat before i go to school. (back in 91).I was dead set on changing the headliner and had all my goodies together ready to go. Storm moving in and she yells out that I better eat if I know whats good for me.......she saved my life. Quote Selected

Stupid Nature Reply #14 – October 04, 2010, 01:06:27 AM i made a lot of money on that car,, engine / trans / mis parts. Darn thing cashed in with insurance at 1500 then i bought it back for 400, the flipped the motor / trans for 900 , then misc parts for a couple hundred more, then salvage gave me 100. Quote Selected
