criminal charges? law guru's anyone?

reading through the papers i stumble across this lady charged on.....

"Two fellonly counts of uttering"

????????

I did a search on it and all I could find was it was always in conjuction with forgery of some kind.

Other than that I don't know.

There are a few things that could be considered uttering:
 
Spoken or written statements, such as "uttering death threats"
 
Passing false or forged documents, such as if you provide a cop with a fake driver's license during a stop you could be charged with "uttering a forged or counterfeit document"
 
I've seen the word used before in the local paper (the weekly "court dockett" section) in several contexts. Law is usually worder pretty strangely anyway...
