American Cougar Decal Raffle
Posted in THIS thread is a picture of the Cougar decal in question.
It was right after 9/11/01, when I first came up with the want to do something to show support for the military, remembrance of those killed in 9/11, and love of our country. I didn't have the know-how or skill to be able to get something done, like the decal, but Mr. Eric Dess helped me out. Eric made a few designs, I approved the one pictured.
As a result, we sold these through the old Mercury Cougar Message Board, CoolCats.net, even the Cougar Club of America's website. For $5, one could purchase the decal. $1 went to the cost of the decal and shipping. The other $4 went directly to the Red Cross. A total of over $4,000 was sent their way as a donation.
Having been away from the T-Bird/Cougar community for a while, I went digging through my box of things about two months ago. I found two of the decals I had sent off to a lot of people.
I'd like to use one of the decals as the prize for a raffle that will help raise money for a good cause.
When my brother, and I, were younger, he had some issues that needed a lot of medical attention. Expensive, major surgeries were needed, for him to lead a "normal" life. My parents, weren't in the most bragable of financial situations. You could even say we were down right poor.
Because of the generosity of Shriner's Hospital, the surgeries were done at no cost to us. I would just like to give back a little to those that have given to me and my family.

For each $5 you donate, that will be one "ticket." If you donate $50, that's ten "tickets."
