GT40 **P** Headers

The apparently cheap knockoff ones on the silver cat are junk so I need a solid set. New, used, whatever, as long as nothing is bent out of shape or cracked or leaking in any way. Can't drive the thing anymore having to listen to that lol. :wtf:
1987 20th Anniversary Cougar, 302 "5.0" GT-40 heads (F3ZE '93 Cobra) and TMoss Ported H.O. intake, H.O. camshaft
2.5" Duals, no cats, Flowmaster 40s, Richmond 3.73s w/ Trac-Lok, maxed out Baumann shift kit, 3000 RPM Dirty Dog non-lock TC
Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...

BBK unequal length shorty headers can be found really cheap,and work great. They are what I have on the Sport.

Holy ! No kiddin'. Now are those 1-5/8"? That's what this thing has. It's a setup a lot like yours I suppose? It's a "full cobra motor" with an E303 and 1.7 RR's. Do you still not *need* that size headers? Naturally I dont wanna buy something that's going to choke it off and lose me power. The thing scoots compared to the red one, now that's sayin' something LOL.

Mine are 1 5/8 headers. They work great with my ported heads and the rest. I have 1.6 roller rockers for now. 1.7's soon. I have the Stage 1 cam as well.They work great with 90 degree boots on the P heads.

5.0 HO 306 roller block, machined GT-40P heads, Wiseco dished forged pistons, Eagle forged floating I-beam connecting rods, Lunati pushrods, ARP bolts, Scorpion aluminum 1.6 rockers, Comp Cams Magnum 266HR, Explorer intake, 65mm TB, MAF Conversion, 19# injectors, Ford Racing stainless P-headers, 2-1/2" cat-less exhaust w/ Flowtech Afterburner lers , SC AOD with 2800 BDR torque converter, 3.73 T-Lok rear, CHE rear control arms, full 2-1/2" frame w/1" jacking rails & seat supports, Rear disk brakes, Turbine wheels, All original interior w/ floor shift upgrade .......
Pretty much every panel on my 87 is new, rebuilt, or re constructed. :D

Good question.I'd think inside diameter....but can't say for sure.Pull one of yours off and measure.I'm sure they are also 1 5/8.

I guess as long as theyre bigger than the stock mustang shorty "crinkle" headers. Ya think they are?

Stock Mustang 302 HO are like 1.4" inside diameter when measured I believe. They're supposed to be 1.5". Either way, people don't normally notice a difference at the track.
