Picture up date!!! Reply #6 – January 06, 2011, 07:37:15 AM well, news update , we are home with our new baby girl!!!! she was 8.15oz 19-1/2in and just a beautiful as can be. Now the most aweful thing that could ever happen, after cayla was born my wife was still bleeding and it was getting worse, so they said we need to take her into emergency surgery, should be 15 min procedure..... 1 hour later they tell me she has lost a lot of blood and we cant stop it...( me crying a lot) another hour goes by then he comes running in telling me that he thinks the placenta had grown to the uterus wall and had ripped coming out, then he tells me she has lost 6 units of blood(only 7 in body)(crying even more) and the only thing that might work is if he does an emergency hysterectomy or she will die(totaly hystrical) I say yes. another 30 min or so he comes in and tells me that he has stopped the bleeding and she "should" be ok. I follow her to ICU and sit with her for the night, then the next morning they move her to the maternaty ward and let her see har baby. We had God on our side BIG TIME!!!! they monitor her tuesday and they actually said she was ok to go home wed night, she is one strong woman and I am very proud of her. So now we are home and and everyone is healthy and happy minus a crying newborn(lol) thanks for letting me vent Quote Selected

Some good some bad but mostly good!!!!!!!! Reply #13 – January 09, 2011, 09:34:49 AM Wow! I'm so glad this had a happy ending! While I was reading I was thinking this wasn't going to end well. I couldn't imagine the emotional rollercoaster you had to be on with the excitement of your new baby then the scare from your wife. Thank God for good doctors and the advancements in health care! Take care and enjoy your blessings. Quote Selected
