I do apologize to Vinnie as I forgot about the generous fee that eBay collects. And I respect Vinnie for not going off on an opinion/observation that I probably should have kept to myself.

Vinnie does do good things for the community by finding parts and shipping them to people with little markup and no labor costs but yes, they are his own find and not one offered up to the community by another member. If I had seen this earlier, I would likely take a different route in buying it so that someone can purchase it from me at my cost (after shipping so I lose nothing but time/hassle) so the item would go immediately next to the person who wants to use it rather than resale. I'm weird like that though - help those I know and try to buy low, sell a little better than normal pricing for items that have no following and to people I have absolutely no connection to. I've purchased $1000 laptops that typically sell for $500-600 used at the time for $250 and resell for $400. Everyone's happy in those cases except when I get burned on my purchase over the internet - such a hassle to return things.

It's all in supply and demand. Just like gas, it can go to 5 bucks a gallon, some will refuse to buy, but there will still be people who pay that.

In this case, I offered 150 bucks...only because I know what Vinnie paid for it, less shipping...I know he's making some profit, and that's part of it.
I doubt I'd pay (or could afford) much more than that right now...I've got kids to feed, gas for 2 vehicles, insurance, AND taking care of a good bit of wedding stuff to boot.

If Vinnie needs more than that for it, so be it, I won't cry..it's business. Vinnie is good people, and I won't hold it against him should he opt to sell for more than what I offered.
Hell, for that matter, I backed out of buying some fuel lines in February of '09 when I picked up my Sport. Vinnie was a little mad I'm sure, I woulda been. But...credit to him, we've done business since and I think we've both been pleased.

Sorry if this long...but some of us aren't all that well off, or have $25/hour jobs where we can build a 10 sec. car in 2 months.
And I'm not picking on anybody, I'm just saying that some here go to junkyards and such, to save and sell parts that will obviously make a little money to fund their own project. Can ya blame him/them?

Just sayin'. ;):D

Not really sources I would say.....LOL. I have met a lot of people though.I got a deal with the guy we originally were speaking about on this thread.I got the gauge cluster with the 140, two shift boots in nice shape, one with the console panel,a couple of TC wheel center caps, steering wheel and horn button, and he's tossing in some other pieces for me that I have no clue what they are yet. We'll see. I just received one of the 140mh speedos from another source today. I paid more than I paid for this one,but it's here. I'll probably sell it as well. I will post parts later to sell. Gotta get my a/c going, and that takes fundage.
