Converting to a kitty...or a pony?

I am fortunate enough to have both.

The Mustang is a purpose built car.  It's lighter, all parts fit and easier to fit in my garage.  Rattles, poor ride, hard to get into, are all moot as they don't detract from it's purpose.

The T-Bird weighs about 800 lbs more, it purpose is for the street.  I made sure it has enough power to over come the weight:evilgrin:

Both cars pull attention, just from different crowds.

IMHO the only draw back is having two cars.  When cash is available, which one get the attention and which one sits (or do the both sit..)?

...With the T-bird I'm usually the only one...and I kind of like this

Exactly. I wouldn't get a mustang if it was free. Way too many people have em and their just overrated in my opinion. Grab the cougar and build it or stick with the bird.

In my opinion you should stick with the bird. You'll feel much better about not abandoning your dream later.

I don't know if it's true, but when I first got my Cougar I was told they do a better job hooking than the Mustangs.  Something about more weight in the back?

I have not seen very many (maybe none) T-Bird/Cougars that have better 60' times than a Fox Mustang.

I always figured that was just because there weren't as many people toying with them compared to the Mustangs...

Why bother swapping cars for a 200 pound drop in weight.

Mustangs are much lighter,...

If it's a weight issue, maybe you want to consider a crash diet.

Get yourself down to about 80-90 pounds and that car will fly.

At least it better -- or all the big kids will be all over you.

Okay, that was my 2¢ ---- maybe even 25¢ worth.
