I think people are scared of the oil leak. I've been trying to sell it for awhile and it's not getting sold. I'm taking a bad hit on it too. I paid 1300. I just need the money and no ones buyin so I gotta keep droppin it low hopping someone does. It's by the road with a for sale sign and been posted and reposted on craigslist :(

I wouldn't think that a 302 leaking would bother anyone that has owned one. I don't think I've ever had one that didn't leak at least a drop or two a day.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

The 5.0 is fairly easy to work on too. I could change out the head gaskets on my 5.0 Mustang in less than 7 hours... And that included removing and re-installing the blower. Well, it did take me 13 hours the first time.

fyi, it's not the heads or head gaskets leaking. It amazes me how much money people ask for a fox mustang, but I can't get anyone to buy my foxbird for next to nothing

THIS is exactly what I was thinking.. FYI - this bird is clean.. I sold my 88 mustang GT that was beat to shiznit for $1,300.. and that was giving him a SICK deal on the car since it had a bunch of new shiznit in it, including a new transmission.

haha well I've had a lot of people call and stop by but no one really interested. I figured at least some mustang guy would have c00ched it up for somethin. There's yet another person coming by the house here in a little bit to look at it. Not holding my breath on this one either...

hahaha stuff happens right? Well the guy, kid actually, said he'd call soon to get directions how to get to my place. It's been an hour and a half. So guess not. Has anyone looked into getting the car shipped? I hear it's pretty reasonable when you ship from at least a semi major city to another

I just realized I had a buddy in pensocola that was thinking about driving from there to here and ended up spending $500 on a plane ticket instead. Wish I would have remembered this car.

Salt lake city Utah. My friend is in the marines and is here for two weeks on leave and then is going to Arizona. I did not have money saved up or anything for it, but I wouldn't mind another bird. Good luck with your sale.
