the show "Lost"

Anyone else watch it? we're following it here since day one.
The wife and i have a theory as to whats going on there on that island.

btw,, there is a website for the show and a forum. Im almost afraid to show up on the forum cause i dont want anymore puzzle pieces thrown at me.

There happens to be a journal available on the site written by one of the folks in the crash. If you read the journal your will find out it was written by someone who has not been a main character to date. From reading the journal, it seems this character is going to play a major roll soon. The character is female and likes to dive and scuba. So far, i can only remember one person like that but she appeared briefly during the episode where they all did up a home made golf course.

Yeah, I've been hooked since the opening show too. It's a really intriguing show, very fresh, and (for once) holding my attention for a whole season.

I heard a lot about the show, and my sister watches it religiously, so when it apeared to be starting at the begining the other night, Ange and I watched it.

I was so turned off. 'It's just a plot. There's no actually story here. This is the worst writing I've ever seen. The story could really be something, if they would write scenes longer than 25 seconds.'

When Boone died in the first episode, I figured out we were watching an overview of the entire season. We had seen on some entertainment show that his character was getting killed off.

Can't judge the show by the recap...that was just to let people who'd never seen the show to get a little insight before the season finale. The way the recap show was done, it was very linear as far as a timeline, whereas each episode is very non-linear and done in flashback fashion. That was the first time we'd seen the whole pre-crash scenes in a row. Basically the show is a huge puzzle. We get fed some pieces every show, but just when you think you have enough pieces to solve something, the puzzle gets bigger. I ensure you that each episode is nothing like that recap show.

Oh, I realised that pretty quick. :p That's why I was saying there really could be a great story there, if viewers were given a chance to explore the characters and events more indpeth. I will be renting the DVD when I can.

I made the excellent mistake of watching one of the later episodes in the season a while back, as it's the lead in show to alias (my biggest t.v. show obsession right now). And even tho I came in about mid season, I was still hooked after that one episode. J.J. Abrams has been a genius when it comes to those 2 shows

(he exec. produces/created alias to). My boss at work and I have come up with an idea as well as to what's really happened. Though I highly doubt we'll learn it at the end of this season.

I think they are all dead and before they can move on,, they have to work out thier personal past life issues.

My theory was kind of tested when boone was inside that crashed airplane full of cocaine and got on the radio. He called for help and someone responded. If they are actually all dead, this part will have to be revisited in a later show. The wife says that Boone's call for help was intercepted by the "others" on the island and thats where the response came from.

Judging from the pre-season hype, I thought it was going to be a blatant rip-off of the syndicated "Peter Benchley's Amazon" from a couple of years back, but it looked like it might be a good show. I am now hooked.
