Well my car was an auto at birth

I was going to change the gears in my axle from the 3.55's to 3.73's from the axle i kept from the sport. Well i looked at the axle tag on my tc and it already had 3.73's in it so i looked up the guys phone # i bought it from called him and he said he had it changed out when he first got it cause the auto went out. He said his brother-in-law wrecked his tc and used the t5 from it. I asked him if they changed the ECU and he said no. Know i know why my boost has never gone over 15 well its never hit 15 maybe 13 at the most so i just wonder how well it would run if i had the right ECU was in it lol.

Nice that's an interesting story. My dad was the 3rd owner of this 20th anny, and it was never messed with in any way like that, but I would like to know about the previous owners'....ownership :hick:. Especially the original one, for some insight into his process (you know the typical 5 minute or longer story just about anyone will give you about their new car purchase, it's never a quick bang-boom-done thing!) and things like the big-name ford/merc dealers around here, how many they had, where he had to go. Id be curious.
