Brief history lesson-subject; Beau's Birds.

#1. Maroon Metallic LX Thunderbird 3.8
Purchased early 1998, sat most of the time of ownership due to deer strike, and then subsequent engine failure. Towed to three residences over the next 6 years.

(only known picture)
Status: Complete dismantling and eventual sping between 2005 and 2007. "don't even have a VIN for it anymore"

#2. 1988 Base Thunderbird 3.8 VIN 1FABP6042JHXXXXXX
"Project Thunderhawk"
Purchased March 2005, served faithfully until late 2006 when connecting rod failure and subsequent fire put it out of active service.

Status: cannibalized for parts and is currently in long term storage. Future (hopeful..) plans call for a carbed Windsor and C4.

#3. 1988 TurboCoupe Thunderbird 2.3
Bought in April 2006 as partially deconstructed and untitled parts car, the decision was made to dismantle and sell unneeded parts.
Status: Shell was stripped and completely dismantled and sped by 2007.
There are surviving photos, but none online at this time.
"No title, and some front subframe bending and rust pretty well sealed it's fate. A lot of parts were put to good use however."

#4 1988 Sport Thunderbird 5.0 VIN1FABP61F1JHXXXXXX
"Thunderhawk II"
Purchased in February 2009, immediate and long range plans were to swap in a High Output engine, T5, 8.8, and some other stuff, including a complete interior makeover.

(first start of the new engine)

(second engine video and a little revving)

(current interior)

As of current date, engine, trans, and rear are all in place and functional, interior is about 50% complete.
Now has a TC hood, different doors, trunklid, seats, dash, carpet, wheels, brakes, and a lot of suspension components have either been refurbished or replaced.
"Hopeful and planned airworthiness...errr, roadworthiness will be attained by year's end 2010."

#5. Expecting an announcement shortly ;)
