1988 Cougar XR-7 FOR SALE Reply #7 – April 15, 2010, 05:53:38 PM When you rebuilt the engine, did you use HO parts? Is it still injected or is it carbed?Does it have surface rust or are there holes? Is it inspected? Mileage on body? That information will make it easier to put a value on the car. Quote Selected
1988 Cougar XR-7 FOR SALE Reply #8 – April 16, 2010, 07:00:43 AM Quote from: Cougar8775;318390WOW your not too far from me. I live in tioga county. should come take a look sometime.HAHA thats cool, Had my physical address in Lawrenceville, pa for a while, wifes from corning.i dont believe HO parts were used. Yes its injected and inspected. it has around 130K on the body. the rust spots behind the front tires are bordering on holes. i got a quote of 1500 for the body work and fresh paint job.And if im hard pressed to get a grand out of it i will keep it, probably for ever. That just isnt enough incentive to sell it. From what i have seen the XR-7 are far less common than the TurboCoupes. A quick search of ebay will tell that tale. There is one other '88 XR-7 here in a 50 mile radius that i know of. I just dont see them arouond anymore. I think alot more of the mercs went to the crusher cause it was a little old lady's car unlike its big sister the t-bird. Quote Selected
